PledgeMusic is a new, progressive and innovative music platform, giving you the opportunity to get involved in the process of recording my new EP, set for release in April, like never before!
One of my main passions in life (other than singing and going to Asia!) is supporting young artists in their quest to somehow get a foot hold in the music industry. The Door Youth Project, a young person’s charity based in Gloucestershire, did this for me when I was 18 years old. I won a singing competition because they encouraged me to sing classical music and pursue my true music passion, rather than singing pop music because it was considered more ‘cool’. They really helped me find confidence in my classical voice, so now, with this EP, I'm going to do the same for other young artists. In view of this, I’m delighted to be recording four duets on this EP with some of the most incredibly talented teenage vocalists: Beth Ford, Tazmin Barnes, Kyle Tomlinson and The Strawhouse Singers, as well as my own brand-new solo track.
Now even though we have surpassed our target (yay!), there are still lots of great ways for you to get involved. This EP will be released in April, followed by a nationwide tour to celebrate the release where I’ll be joined by the guest artists from this EP. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be recording and working with these incredible young people!
